- The Bharathappuzha River is approximately 300 metres from the property, accessed across a railway track. The river closer to the property is shallow and perfect for a dip and swimming during non-monsoon months. Furthermore, a long trek through the paddy fields leads to the Bund part of the river, which is deeper and where you may indulge in fish-angling activities.
- The complete farming activities on the property are undertaken by a caretaker Ayyappan, who is in his early fifties and has exceptional agricultural knowledge of soil, irrigation, and farming methods. Though he speaks only Malayalam, he will guide you on a hands-on experience in farming, tending to vegetable or fruit-bearing plants if you’re up to it while at the property.
- Our house-pond is an ideal spot for watching sunsets and a cool dip, if you fancy a swim. Except for the noon hours, the pond is an ideal place to read or have long conversations. Children will find it apt to frolic in the water, for it keeps them enthralled for hours.
